Giving to New Gate

There are many ways of contributing to the school in support of our mission. The generosity of the school community is so important in providing an excellent Montessori education to our students.

Annual Fund
Annual Fund is New Gate School's yearly fundraising campaign. The funds donated by the school community, including current parents, former students and their parents, grandparents and friends of NGS, support the educational programs of every student at New Gate School every day.

The Financial Aid Fund
The Advancement office, Development Committee and members of our FAST (Family and School Together)Committees work together to hold an annual fund raising event to support the Financial Aid program at the school. Families are asked to volunteer time and services to plan and produce this event. Your participation in the Financial Aid fund raiser is an important way of supporting New Gate Schooland our diverse community.

Gifts in Kind
Gifts in kind are contributions of time, services, or goods to the school. Examples would include services you can render or items you might donate that New Gate School has identified on a wish list.

Planned Giving
Even if you feel you can not make a significant financial contribution to the school right now, planned giving can allow New Gate School to benefit from your generosity in years to come and ensure its future for the next generation of children. For information on making a planned giving gift, please contact the Advancement Office or speak with the Head of School.

New Gate Gets a Sister Farm
Posted Tuesday June 29 2010
We are thrilled to announce a new program at New Gate that starts this fall. We have formed a partnership with Gamble Creek Farm, a nonprofit training farm in Parrish, to become our sister farm. Just imagine a day during the week when you pick up your child, that you will also pick up a box of locally-grown, organic produce, accompanied by recipes to make cooking and experimenting with new produce, something the whole family can enjoy. Naturally, in keeping with Maria Montessori's working farm approach, our students will learn hands-on about farming through field trips to Gamble Creek, as well as working in New Gate's on-campus community garden that will begin to take shape this fall. I encourage you to read the attached press release, visit www.gamblecreekfarm.org and sign up for your share of produce under the JOIN tab. You will also find samples of produce that is harvested, recipes, and past newsletters under the MEMBERS tab. Thank you for helping to support our new partnership!
