New Gate School's Annual ENCHANTED EVENING
Cocktails/Dining/ Live & Silent Auction/ Entertainment
Each year in the spring, New Gate School organizes a fun filled gala fundraising evening event. The proceeds from this event are allocated to several areas that may need additional funding above and beyond tuition revenue. In the past we have been able to fund the Scholarship and Financial Aid Fund, increase the number of books, computers and materials for the library, and make renovations on existing classrooms, grounds, etc. As a non-profit, without assistance from our annual fundraising event, some of these things would not be a possibility.
For our exciting 2010 event, ENCHANTED EVENING, co-chairs Stephen & Susan Wahl and Kerri Dowdell welcome and encourage your participation. ENCHANTED EVENING - is scheduled for Saturday, February 27th at the beautiful home of Dr. Stephen and Mrs. Susan Wahl, with the pre-party kick-off at 5:30 pm and the main event beginning at 6:30 pm with cocktails/silent auction and delectable delights from local restaurants until 9:00 pm. Our live auction kicks off at 9:00 pm. If you’d like to join the committee, please call our front office and ask for the date of the next meeting – volunteers are always needed, and the committee continues to grow until the event.
If you don’t feel that you have time to volunteer as a committee member, you can support the event by gathering auction items and advertisements from local businesses. Area restaurants, salons/spas, specialty stores, theatres, art galleries, and even babysitters can be asked to donate. If you don’t feel comfortable asking a business to donate a gift certificate or an item, remember – you can donate your time. In the past, parents have donated gift certificates for services such as babysitting, preparing snack for your child’s class on their snack day, hosting/planning a birthday party, baking holiday cookies…the possibilities are endless. Once you have the donation and completed donor form in hand, just return everything to either front office and the committee will take over from there. All of the necessary forms are available at either Clark Road or Ashton Road offices as well as on this website.
Have a talent for selling advertising? The Enchanted Evening - Under the Oaks program book has lots of room for advertisements! Businesses don’t necessarily have to donate an item or service- they may feel that advertising in New Gate’s Enchanted Evening program book would suit them better. Advertisements range in price from $300 for a full-page ad to $80 for a quarter page ad. (Please remind the advertisers that the artwork they would like included must be plate ready for our committee.) We also have discounted pricing available for those businesses who would like to participate in both the Enchanted Evening and Mote Marine Celebration Party program books.
Sponsorships are also available for this event. We have four levels of sponsorships: Platinum Sponsorships for $10,000, Gold Sponsorships for $5,000, Silver Sponsorships for $2,500 and Bronze Sponsorships for $1,000.
