New Gate School has many resources with which to create a rich and varied campus life for students and their families. New Gate School campus with its 135 acres has provided many opportunities for creative endeavors by classroom teachers, such as the “Radical Rainforest” demonstration in which the tropical forest behind the school became the setting for tours of a magical display of knowledge about the rainforest, its botanical wonders and its exotic creatures.
Gardening is widely enjoyed by students who take pride in seeing their plants grow, and on Beautification Day, students work together planting trees, mulching the running paths that cover the wide expanse of campus and provide paths for the running club to train for the annual Disney Marathon.
As you see, there are many events that take place to bring the New Gate School students and community together. The following pages describe some of our festivals and celebrations, but as new ideas emerge, so do new events to make New Gate School's campus life a spontaneous and enjoyable place to learn.
