New Gate School Running Club
New Gate Running Club concluded the 2009/2010 running season with a trip to Melbourne FL for the Melbourne Music Races. The races consisted of a 5k and 8k on Saturday, with New Gate sweeping both the young men and young women divisions in the 8k. A half marathon on Sunday drew 5 New Gate runners. Numerous personal records were broken, and the New Gate support crew cheered loudly and made the last hill just a little easier! Thanks to all who attended for helping to make the trip a great success, and a memorable time for all. Track season is just around the corner, practices will begin in March. My daughter has been attending New Gate School since she was three years old. We began in the Primary level and have happily progressed to Upper Elementary and what a wonderful journey it has been! Neither my daughter, or I, could ask for a school with more rewards, more blessings or a better learning environment - the teachers and faculty at New Gate are 5-star ladies and gentlemen who bring nurturing, peace, encouragement and a strong passion for teaching to all of our lucky children.
