Spanish I Cycle Students will use activities, dialogues, games, and projects to further develop communication skills. Students will build on their basic understanding of simple greetings, expressions, and grammatical concepts. Students in Spanish I will learn to understand and translate simple texts. Past and future tenses will be introduced and their knowledge of cultural differences will be expanded. Topics will include markets, shopping, bartering, transportation, daily routines, education, holidays and cultural celebrations and pastimes. Projects and activities will include storytelling, writing short compositions, reading from Spanish literature, interpretation and translation.
